About Me
- Name: L. Riofrio
Full-time scientist. Before graduating I learned that the speed of light is slowing down and originated the "GM=tc^3" theory, which explains the dark energy problem and most physicists still can't explain. More recent work seeks Black Holes in some unexpected places, even within Earth. I've been working at NASA in Houston on studies of the Moon, and have an insider's view of the Space program. Actress in film, television and stages from Honolulu to Houston. In spare time I fight off hostile aliens, explore a strange world and unusual forms of life.

I'm confused...what to you mean by the only equations on the web?

Hi Dimitri. This site tries to be first blog on the web to introduce full equations of the cosmos, not just latex. Since you are a theorist, you may enjoy seeing the math. Too many blogs feature people sniping at each other.
Q, I have viewed many science blogs and seen virtually no equations. Your blog is very entertaining, though.
Lousie, plenty of blogs now use MathML to put full equations up, such as Jacques Distler's blog.
Also I wrote a very simple LaTeX to gif coverter to allow people to put raw latex equations in a file (i.e. no headers, no /begin{equation}, etc.) and get out a cropped image for their website. The main reason I wrote it was so that I could write a script to scan comments for latex equations and replace them with the gifs, although I have yet to set this up as a chron job. You can find the script linked off this post if you are interested.
There you go Louise, you getting tips from Joe in Oxford too.
The blog is looking great.
You don't need to make inaccurate claims or boasts that this is the only place on the blogosphere with equations, ...
Comment on other people's sites about their blogs & posts, instead of the rather obvious and blatant self-publicity
If your posts are interesting the blog will soon advertise itself.
Thank you all for your suggestions on this ever-evolving blog. Joe, I am looking into your ideas. Q, your helpful hints are always welcome.
This site will strive to present the best
graphics and the only equations on blogger.
